The Vélocimanes Associés produce, create and manage juggling shows. More precisely, we create shows for jugglers. That means that even if juggling doesn’t appear as very present in some of the company’s creations, all of them bear the trace of their creators who define themselves mainly as jugglers. The connection with the object, the core of the practice, is fed by an ensemble of manipulation techniques, of building sequences which set their particularity, even if our work moves away from a more traditional vision of juggling. The company is determined to create “popular and demanding” shows. It’s important for us to keep the tradition of a circus accessible to all and open to others. We like nothing more than to adapt our shows to take them to a public that is sometimes distant from cultural offers.
