Program

The brides from Karel Jaromír Erben's literary work "Kytice" "Bouquet of Czech Folktales" in a veil of poetic-grotesque accompanied by a male band. Young girls sit together and dream: soon they will become radiant white brides. And (M)mother has nothing left but to observe the girls' dreams with love, hope, and fear. However, the theme of guilt and punishment is popular in Erben's works - and the punishments are often cruel... Erben's "Bouquet of Czech Folktales" is full of female heroines, whose lives are fraught with numerous pitfalls and whose fate is often merciless. The production borrows brides from "Bouquet" and fights for their fates as it is believed that love can be stronger than punishment.
