A gritty drama about the lonely coexistence of a mother and daughter in the Irish countryside, densely interwoven with Martin McDonagh's typical black humour. Maureen is still a virgin at thirty and must care for her overbearing mother Mag. Into the daily stereotype of the quarrels and sniping of two unhappy women enters the sympathetic Pat, and somewhat unwittingly his younger brother Ray. Will Maureen get one last chance at first love?
