It is the year 1913, and Englishwoman Emily Davison throws herself under a galloping horse at the Epsom racecourse in the name of the fight for women's suffrage. A pop mosaic loosely inspired by the life and death of the most radical personality of the British feminist movement explores the behavior of the oppressed individual in a rigid society. The production examines the boundaries between activism and terrorism, masculinity and femininity, victimhood and manipulation. Emily's story offers themes closely associated with the stereotypical division of the world, which resonate even today and lead to a burning question: How far have we progressed since then?
