The East Bohemian puppet theatre Drak was founded in 1958 and thus became the youngest of the professional puppet theatres in Bohemia. It not only presents its productions at its home stage in Hradec Králové and in the Czech Republic, but also on several foreign tours all over the world since the year 1964. “DRAK” very quickly became not only a popular puppet theatre, but also the co-developer of the entire Czech and subsequently international puppet scene. Many of its productions have brought fresh and often ground-breaking methods that have earned awards at home and abroad.
